watership down the movie turns 30!

hey hey! i wanted to bring your attention to the recent DVD deluxe edition release of one of my favorite animated films of all-time watership down – based on the classic 1972 novel written by richard adams – the film is celebrating its 30th anniversary and i loved it as a kid (it was also zero mostel‘s final film appearance – he voiced ‘kehaar the gull’) i watched it this weekend and it still stands up today (although i wouldn’t recommend it for small children – i’d say ages 10 & up since there is a bit of violence plus a few scary parts) below is the original trailer along with a bunch of stills (also listen to art garfunkel‘s british hit song bright eyes which was used in the film) i’m sure many of you have seen watership down but if you haven’t i’d highly recommend checking it out! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo
