Here’s the second and totally delicious single, “The Apple,” (iTunes) off of V V Brown‘s upcoming album Samson & Delilah due out on September 9th. The music video serves as part two of a short film V V created for the album along with Met Film School grad, Jessica Hughes. In case you missed part one, “Samson,” you can watch it here. I’ve been a big supporter of Ms. Brown since her brilliant debut album, Travelling Like the Light, released in 2009. Although her new material is definitely different from her previous work, I really like the darker and more organic direction she decided to head in (after scrapping her sophomore effort Lollipops & Politics and ditching her record label), I can’t wait to hear the rest of Samson & Delilah. Hopefully she’ll making her way to Los Angeles to support the album, I’ve seen V V a couple of times live and she’s fantastic, I’d love to see her perform her new material!
