If you’re looking for something fun to do this holiday season, you simply can’t miss improvisational comedy group The Second City‘s A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens! which is now playing at Culver City’s Kirk Douglas Theatre (an awesome and intimate venue) through December 29th, presented by the Center Theatre Group. I attended the official opening night this past week and had a total blast with my good pal Tina. I saw the show (which takes on Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story mixed with some contemporary sketches) last year too yet this time around (it has been ‘re-loaded and re-twisted’) it was even better than I remembered! Plus I totally enjoy improv comedy situations and there was plenty of that to keep the show fresh and lively. As a bonus, each night there’s a secret celebrity guest that joins in on the fun, when I went the lovely and hilarious Rhea Perlman partook in the festivities!
