We’re now just a few weeks away from the highly-anticipated release of Tori Amos‘ brand new album Night Of Hunters, out on September 20th via world famous classical label Deutsche Grammophon! Catch Tori below talking about the album’s classically-inspired concept in a recently released digital EPK. Thankfully I had the chance to preview the entire album, Toriphiles (like myself) are definitely going to enjoy the album, it’s sweepingly lush and epic, with completely gorgeous orchestrations and top-notch production, without a doubt it could be considered yet another musical masterpiece from Tori Amos.
Night of Hunters is a 21st century song cycle that finds Tori Amos drawing on themes from Satie, Granados, Chopin and other great composers. It tells a modern love story that is only unraveled after a journey to Ireland’s mythic past. Guests include such esteemed players as The Apollon Musagete Quartet and the Berlin Philharmonic clarinet soloist Andreas Ottensamer.
