Remember Anne Hathaway‘s killer Katie Holmes impression on Saturday Night Live from a month or so ago? Well, apparently Katie’s still pissed about that because she and Tom Cruise have refused to attend the Academy Awards this year because Anne is hosting, and not because, you know, Tom and Katie are terrible actors and have no place at an awards show celebrating good acting.
The Daily Mail quotes a source saying that Holmes and Cruise felt betrayed by the nationally televised impression, given what they considered a solid friendship with the Love and Other Drugs star. When Hathaway broke up with boyfriend Raffaello Follieri in 2008, Cruise and Holmes took Hathaway to a Tina Turner concert, the ultimate salve. “Katie feels they were really supportive at a difficult time so she feels let down that Anne took to national TV to make fun of her,” the source told the paper. Waaaaaah. What a shame: Two terrible actors won’t be attending the Academy Awards! This is like getting mopey because Kevin Federline won’t attend the Grammys. I guess it’s just another night of the same-old same-old: Katie’s going to sit alone pretending she didn’t marry a gay midget who believes in aliens and Tom is going to (REDACTED BECAUSE I’M NOT GAY – TC) Dammit Tom!
