So as it turns out, after getting smacked by Lindsay Lohan for trying to do her job, the Betty Ford employee that got into an altercation with Lindsay has been fired from her job. Not for allegedly assaulting Lohan, as everyone’s favorite freckled drunk would like you to believe, but for breaching confidentiality procedures.
In a statement to TMZ, Betty Ford officials say, “Regrettably, on December 21, 2010, one of our employees violated strict confidentiality guidelines and laws by publicly identifying patients in a media interview and by disclosing a privileged document.” The statement goes on, “The employee has been terminated by the Betty Ford Center.” SOURCE
This is all a nice way for Betty Ford to say “Yeah, Lindsay is still a drunken wreck who punches people, but that wasn’t her place to say”. And I can kind of respect that; It’s not her place to spread the story when they’re trying to maintain a professional atmosphere, even if that atmosphere does involves some vodka-soaked firecrotch.
