As the fallout continues over the Kardashians allegedly using child labor to create their crappy, shoddy-ass merchandise, it looks like random politicians you’ve never really heard of are jumping on the bandwagon, as congressman Dana Rohrabacher is now slamming the family for not caring about Americans. Wait, that’s what you’re getting out of this? That Americans are the only ones they don’t care about? Try EVERYONE, sweetums. RadarOnline reports:
“It is very sad that anybody who is already making millions of dollars thinks they have to go to China to have work done in substandard labor conditions where people are paid a pittance and have no right to organize a union,” California Rep. Dana Rohrabacher exclusively told RadarOnline. “By going to China in order to make a $65 million profit instead of a $10 million profit you are effectively thumbing your nose at the American people,” Rohrabacher said. “They don’t give a damn about the American people.”
No, really, that’s your big issue with all of this? They’re allegedly using child labor to make their crap, and you’re focusing on how those jobs should go to Americans? Look, I know it’s important to create more jobs in the USA, but I think the whole “small children are being paid next to nothing and forced into hostile work environments” kind of takes priority over “we need more Americans working!” I’m just saying: maybe focus on the egregious human rights violations first.
