I finally got around to catching the first Hunger Games movie last month, and shockingly I actually loved it. A big budget movie that features a strong, full-realized female protagonist, an intelligent script that remains accessible without pandering to the viewers, and a topical moral about how the first world uses weaker areas for resources and how the media romanticizes real-life violence? MORE OF THIS, HOLLYWOOD. Anyway, here’s the first trailer for the second movie, Catching Fire (out on November 22nd), which is probably my favorite book in the series by author Suzanne Collins.
