TelevisionBytes: It’s all about Atlanta!

It’s all about babies on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The veteran Bravo series moved to Sunday nights earlier this month and has shown no signs of slowing down. Earning big ratings in its new timeslot, the motley crew of Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Shereé Whitfield and various others have brought their petty dramas and catty ways to Sunday nights in a big way.

Lately the drama has focused on newcomer Phaedra Parks and her alleged seven month old fetus. According to her, the doctors were letting her give birth two months early because the kid was fully developed. Seemed like fishy business to everyone, but on Sunday’s episode, we learned the baby was actually two months older than previously advertised. Why the confusion? Turns out Phaedra comes from an ultra-conservative family; one that might not approve (correction: absolutely does NOT approve) of being preggers out of wedlock. We’ll never know for sure, but it sounds like Phaedra was merely covering up some bedroom activities that were committed IN SIN.

Also making news with her pregnancy is fellow housewife Kim Zolciak, who just revealed that she’s got a bun in the oven. Here’s the bigger news: the daddy is neither Big Poppa nor a turkey baster (last time we checked, Kim was a lesbian). It seems as though none other than Kroy Biermann, the Atlanta Falcons player she met at Shereé’s recent charity ballroom dancing fundraiser, has knocked Kim up. Who knew that her fascination with his derriere would lead to new life form? Then again, given that Big Poppa has allegedly gone broke, it’s not totally unsurprising that Kim might hand her lady parts over to a successful NFL player. Should lead to an interesting fourth season storyline …
