All right, full disclosure: While I will occasionally rag on Taylor Swift for some of her dumber moves, I actually really like most of her music. What? She has a good voice and she knows how to write catchy songs. Yes, as much as I like to buff my indie credibility, I will always have a soft spot for fluffy top forty stuff. That being said, Taylor has a new single out (the first cut from her just announced new album, 1989) called “Shake It Off” … and I don’t love it. I’ll give the song a chance to possibly grow on me, but this isn’t my favorite. She’s foregone the country pop for straight-up pop, and the music video kind of comes across as an Old Navy commercial, witness it for yourself below!
