studio 60 on the sunset strip – now on DVD!

good evening! i can’t believe how quickly the holidays have crept up on us – i’ve gotten a ton of recent emails asking me to post about this or that as the perfect holiday present – 99% of stuff pitched to me i decline (for example the latest ‘bring it on’ movie – oh my word – i can’t believe they’re still pumping out that ‘franchise’) but i can highly recommend the semi-newly released DVD containing the entire first (and sadly only) season of studio 60 on the sunset strip (a witty & engaging look behind the scenes of a comedy sketch show akin to snl) i know a lot of people didn’t care for it – but i freakin’ loved it! i watched each & every episode – the writing was fresh & fantastic – it was completely smart TV viewing – i can’t say enough about it (yes i do rave about a lot of things on here – but there’s way more stuff that i don’t care for which never gets mentioned…) thankfully you can now catch the whole season on one handy DVD! it sucks hardcore that decent shows like this never really get a chance – i know why it didn’t get picked up for a second season – a lot of people simply didn’t get it – which is a total shame – there’s so much crap on the telly these days but as per usual it’s always about quantity over quality (the same goes for blogs as well – it’s all about the numbers – no matter how much effort you put into something…) so if there’s anybody on your holiday shopping list that you’re stumped over what to buy them (and they have at least half a brain & enjoy TV) this will make the perfect stocking stuffer! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!
