† FROM DJ PAUL V.
I’m always thrilled to find mashups that connect the past to the present. Newcomers MGMT made one of my favorite discs of 2008, and David Bowie, well – he’s made many genius albums and certainly influenced MGMT (hell, who hasn’t been influenced by Bowie?) Anyway, DJBC and my club Bootie buddies A+D came up with a super cool concept: to mash up Bowie’s all-time classic disc, “The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust,” and they enlisted some of the top bootleggers to create Ziggy Remixed. The results are fierce and fabulously glam-tastic, sure to give you a spiders from Mars tingle up your spine! Here’s their mash of “Lady Stardust” vs. “Kids”
