When I first heard Rihanna‘s number one song “Diamonds,” I couldn’t help but feel like it had certain vocal flourishes reminiscent of Sia. (Specifically, the hiccuping “Shine bright like a diamond.”) Turns out, I was right about that part: the song was originally written by Sia, who’s fast becoming one of the most reliably proficient singer/songwriters out there. So here she is covering “Diamonds” for herself, and to be honest, I think she delivers it just a touch better than RiRi does.
