Paula Patton and Robin Thicke are ending their longtime marriage. “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the singer and the actress told People on Monday in an exclusive statement. The pair, who first met when Thicke was 14, have been married since 2005 and welcomed son Julian Fuego Thicke in April 2010.
Of course we shouldn’t be surprised by this split, it is a Hollywood marriage after all, but I am actually a bit surprised. They seemed to be a completely solid couple (the picture above was taken at the Grammys last month) but I guess things started to go south after Robin hit it big this past year with “Blurred Lines.” Should we just place the blame Miley Cyrus and her twerking antics?
