Some sad news today: Sahara Davenport, a renowned New York drag queen and a contestant from the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has passed away. Various queens from the show have gone on Twitter to express their condolences:

Our sympathies go out to Sahara’s friends and family, especially Manila. It’s hard to lose someone so central in your life; it’s even harder when it happens suddenly like this, and you feel like you’ve lost that sort of center in your life that holds you down. It’s never going to stop hurting, but if you share your pain with others, they’ll help ease the weight of things. Rest in peace Sahara.
