I was super bummed when I heard the very sad news about onetime teen heartthrob Davy Jones (of The Monkees) passing away suddenly (he was still playing shows just a few weeks ago) at the age of 66 from a heart attack at his home down in Florida (while he was tending to his horses). Although I wasn’t around during the sixties to watch the group’s beloved and hilarious television show (58 episodes in total originally ran from 1966 to 1968), I remember constantly watching reruns of The Monkees ask a kid in the 1980s, it was so innocent and enjoyable, the music still has me singing along decades later! My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends (including Marcia Brady), Davy is definitely going to be missed.
