 | PRODIGY Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned – due july 23rd (UK) this uk electro-rock band or whatever you want to call ’em are back – and what a return – this album instantly grabbed me – it really flowed quite nicely – tis an eclectic mix of electro ‘beats’ and riffs – along with the traditional rock out element – and some great vocals on a few of the tracks – including a take off of ‘up up up and away’ (think nancy sinatra) called hot ride that actually features actress turned rock bitch juliette lewis on vocals! i love that gal – plus an amazing sampling from mj’s thriller in the song the way it is – and on the last track shoot down – prodigy is joined by the gallagher brothers (think oasis – noel and liam) – what a flashback to the 90’s…for sure check this album out! theprodigy.com |
 | THE ROOTS TIPPING POINT – due july 13th these smooth rap cats from philly are back with a intelligent and chill album – their rhymes and raps just roll off their tongues – a good friend introduced them to me yrs ago – and i have been a fan since – this one hits stores next week – and the single dont say nuthin’ so be sure to check the roots! theroots.com |
