I recently had the extreme pleasure of being invited to Virgin Mobile‘s new ‘brand ambassador’ program (put together by the incredible team from Mekanism) along with twenty-four other bloggers. We all made our way from all over the country for a quick summit in Washington D.C., besides meeting all the other ambassadors, we were super lucky to attend Lady Gaga‘s Monster Ball show (with great seats), plus we all we’re able to have a quick moment with her after the show (see my (drunk face) pictures with Gaga below)! This was my fourth time seeing her live, and she sounded incredible (her body is slammin’ right now) and performed her new hit single Born This Way at the end, which totally kicked ass. Now you might remember that I interviewed Lady Gaga almost three years ago (when her only song was Just Dance and people barely knew her name), I mentioned the interview to her and she told me it was great to reconnect again. Girlfriend has come so very far, I knew she would be big when I spoke with her but I don’t think either of us had a clue on how big she would actually become worldwide in mere few years time!
Besides all the fun with Gaga, everyone was able to get a better understanding of the Virgin Mobile (Gaga’s main tour sponsor!) brand, overall I was very impressed (who doesn’t love Richard Branson?) with all the info (look ma, no contracts!) and in the coming months I’ll be bringing you more Virgin Mobile info (recently I posted about their Little ‘Local’ Monster contest) including a really neat promotion launching very soon and later this year they’ll be doing their Virgin Mobile FreeFest, a free music festival! Plus I might even be spinning some tracks on Virgin Mobile Live, so please stay tuned. After working on PopBytes for almost eight years, it was great to be offered such an amazing opportunity to connect and network with other bloggers, I was beyond flattered to be included!
