popbytes loves jewel

oh happy day! i just got my mitts on an advanced copy of the latest jewel album that will hit stores next week on may 2nd – it’s called goodbye alice in wonderland – and it’s actually less goodbye and more like hello to the old school jewel we all first fell in love with! she has been around for ten years now! oh my i just felt old! this album surely marks a return to her softer folky style infused with a bit of rock & country! after she went all hollywood on us with her last album 0304 (which i actually loved…come on & just admit you fell hard for ‘intuition’) to some people’s shock & protest but this time out i really do think fans will be very pleased with this latest jewel outing…so below is an awesome standout track called drive to you for your listening pleasure and review! oh i am so glad she is back and all is ok in her world – phew! rock on & i will for sure be back tomorrow – popbytes out – xxoo!

It is fitting that 2006 marks Jewel’s tenth year as one of the industry’s top artists of her generation, and the anniversary of her debut “Pieces Of You.” With each successive body of work, Jewel continues her path of truth, authenticity, and creative risk. Goodbye Alice In Wonderland has been described as Jewel’s most personal and autobiographical record so far. Jewel co-produced this album with Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls).
