This past week (Monday, April 15th) Toronto based musician and recording artist Diamond Rings (aka John O’Regan) played at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre, opening for OMD (more on those guys later). I was there with my dancing shoes along with my good pal Joey (who took super awesome pictures and video), and it was my second time seeing him play live and he did not disappoint, he was even better than the last time he was in town! His energy is instantly infectious plus he’s completely adorable! I’ve been a fan for awhile now, he’s totally fantastic and if you enjoy synth / electro pop (mixed with an early eighties vibe), you’ll definitely dig Diamond Rings too. Make sure to check out his stellar sophomore album, Free Dimensional (iTunes), which dropped via Astralwerks back in October of last year.
