The moment finally arrived last night, as Oprah Winfrey‘s interview with Lindsay Lohan made its debut on OWN and everyone finally got to see the grilling. Except for the most part, it was pretty amicable, and while Oprah didn’t pull any punches, she was pretty tactful about the whole thing. For her part, Lindsay seemed pretty stable and sounded like she was actually serious about staying sober, although apparently she’s still pretty tight-lipped about her cocaine usage, and doesn’t really seem to understand how badly she needs to kick her parents to the curb. “I really haven’t done it more than 10-15 times, of course I said 3-4 because I was terrified of being judged,” she says. “I never felt good the next day. It’s a party thing, people would have it and I’d do it. It went hand in hand with drinking.”
“Nobody’s perfect. I love my parents,” she says … adding, “I’m not going to say that certain situations I would have preferred to be handled differently, to be kept within the family and private.”
“I don’t blame anyone for my mistakes,” she says. “I don’t blame anyone for driving in a car while drinking. I did that and I’m not proud of it.”
To be honest, I don’t care how many times she’s done cocaine, as long as she doesn’t do it anymore. As for her parents: Girl. Good for you for accepting responsibility and all, but they’re pretty bad influences on your life, and they had absolutely no problem with letting you circle the drain as long as they got something out of it. I know you love your parents, but you don’t owe them the right to use you as an ATM. Lay down the law here; either they get their shcrapt together, or you’re done with them.
