So apparently the big story today is that director Michael Bay was supposed to do a presentation for Samsung at CES, only to have a bit of a frozen moment and then walked off stage. Except if we’re being honest here, it wasn’t that bad. The guy flubbed his lines and suddenly left. It happens! It feels embarrassing as hell, but it happens. Bay then took to his blog to explain what exactly happened …
Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES – I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing.
Believe me, people choke all the time. It feels SUPER embarrassing when you’re the one on stage choking, but for the most part, everyone in the audience knows what it’s like to fold while on stage like that, so only the dickiest of dicks will hold it against you.
