Marina And the Diamonds (At Los Angeles’ El Rey)

I think I was so excited about my interview with Marina And The Diamonds – that I almost forgot about doing a post on her show at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre on September 17th! It was the very last night of her most recent tour of the states and what an amazing show she put on (there’s two great videos below – you can find more here and here!) My only complaint was that she didn’t sing Hermit The Frog – which happens to be my favorite track off her incredible debut album The Family Jewels (the full setlist is below) I loved seeing Marina with her full band this time – back in July she played at the Troubadour but that was more of a stripped down show (I also noticed she seemed to be more comfortable performing this time around!) I also got to catch up with one of my very dear friends, Raven, who took the pictures below … there’s more on her blog (and make sure to follow her on Twitter – she’s such a doll!) After the show I got to chat with Marina again for a brief moment – after I thanked her profusely for allowing me to interview her earlier in the evening, she told me that she’d be coming back to LA in February – I hope she’ll be working on her next album – I can’t wait to see what girlfriend has up her sleeve! Popbytes over and out for now … xoxo!
