margaret cho is an ‘assassin’

well – hello hello hello – so i just got back from a ‘press invite’ to the ‘world premiere’ of comedian margaret cho‘s latest movie – assassin @ the very cool egyptian theater just down the block (i just had to skip the Q+A & the after-party – popbytes is a busy boy – and needs to move on as quickly as possible) – and oh my word – the girl is so fucking funny – it hurts – it was completely relevant – she touched on the pope, björk, george bush – even danni minogue (please leave her alone – she is cool) – the premiere was completely packed and audience reaction was superb – the girl lays it on the line – and tells it exactly as it is – even if it hurts – that’s what i enjoy – no bullshit – don’t beat around the bush – just say it – i have never been known to be a diplomatic person – i call it like i see it (for the most part) – so please do check out assassin which will hit theaters as well as premiere on here! tv – the all gay & lesbian programming channel – i had a blast tonight – ms. cho rocks – seriously! popbytes out for now…

Premiering September 2005 Exclusively on here!
The incomparable Margaret Cho roars back with her latest concert, Assassin, recorded live in May of 2005 at the Warner Theater in Washington D.C. Uproariously funny, poignant and scathing, this is one event movie you won’t want to miss!
Assassin features fresh doses of Cho’s ground-breaking, controversial and hilarious brand of humor. “It’s a raw interpretation of what’s happening daily in our ever-evolving or devolving state of the union.” said Cho. The show will include some of the crowd pleasing routines from her critically acclaimed, Fall 2004, State of Emergency Tour, that kicked off at The Apollo Theatre (The New York Times called it “Murderously Funny!”) then visited swing states prior to the election.
