I’ve always been a huge fan of Pet Shop Boys (thankfully I saw them live once in NYC years ago), but when I tossed on their latest single “Winner” (released just this past week), I was instantly reminded of how great of a duo they truly are! They’ve been on the scene since 1981 and still manage to sound fresh and relevant today, both Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are so incredibly talented, true pop music icons! They have a new album coming out called Elysium on September 18th (via Astralwerks), it’s their 11th studio release and was actually made right here in Los Angeles, marking the first time the boys recorded an album in the states. If this amazing single is any indication of what’s to come, then we have extraordinary things in store from PSB!
