Part of me feels like this is some sort of weird prank that I’m not getting. You know like those old coffee commercials? “We’ve secretly replaced this new Mariah Carey single with a track off Rick Ross‘ latest album. Let’s see if anyone can tell the difference …” Seriously, I know that this is supposed to be Mariah’s comeback single, but … yeah, there is almost no sign of Mimi anywhere on “Triumphant (Get ‘Em).” And what little there is literally sounds like it was phoned in.
