The always lovely Kelis is getting ready to drop her sixth studio album, FOOD, via Ninja Tune on April 22nd, and here’s another taste called “Rumble.” There’s no doubt that she’s shaking up her vibe yet again, her last outing (2010’s Flesh Tone) was all about getting your dance on, this time it’s being slowed down with a silky and smooth R&B vibe. But for those pining away for her dance vibe, I am sure we’ll have plenty of remixes to keep us all moving. I’ve been a huge fan of Kelis ever since she released her debut album, Kaleidoscope, back in 1999 featuring the super infectious track “Caught Out There.” It’s great to still have her on the scene fifteen years later, still doing her thing, I’ll be sticking by her side until the bitter end, girlfriend is super talented and I can’t wait to hear the rest of FOOD.
