A few weeks ago British singer/songwriter Jessie Ware randomly popped into my head and made me start to wonder about what she’s been up to lately. Girlfriend made such a huge splash on the music scene back in 2012 with her incredible and critically-acclaimed debut album, Devotion (iTunes), and then I didn’t really hear anything from Jessie … until this past week when she unexpectedly dropped a brand-new and totally amazing single called “Tough Love,” which will be featured on Jessie’s upcoming sophomore release, hopefully to be released by the end of this year. The song instantly grabbed me upon first listen and gives off some serious Prince beats (“When Doves Cry”), if “Tough Love” is a sign of things to come, we are definitely in store for a stellar follow-up to Devotion.
