I was never a huge fan of Hilary Duff (please don’t get me started on her sister Haylie Duff) but I will say this new upbeat and catchy single of hers called ‘Sparks’ (now available on iTunes) has been stuck in my head for days. Whistling sections in songs are ‘Simply Irresistible’ … in the words of the late Robert Palmer. Hilary appears to be on a role as of late, she’s looking better than ever, she ditched Mike Comrie aka her boring hockey husband, she’s starring in a new show called Younger on TVLand, and last but certainly not least–Hilary is hard at work on her fifth album (Her first studio release since 2007’s Dignity) due out sometime later this year. A way overdue comeback is happening right before our very eyes and just like the Pointer Sisters, ‘I’m So Excited.’ Make sure to listen to ‘Sparks’ but be warned–when a whistling ear worm takes over your inner thoughts, it’s almost impossible to get rid of.– MK xoxo
