Now granted, we’re not rehab specialists. We don’t know how specifically to treat people with substance abuse issues, but if we had to guess, it probably doesn’t help to let your patients have access to all the Adderall they want. Except when Lindsay Lohan accepted her plea deal so that she could go to imaginary Lockdown Rehab, she only did so with the caveat that she could still take Adderall, because that doesn’t sound stupid at all. TMZ reports …
Our sources say Lindsay has taken Adderall — used to treat Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and misused for various other purposes — daily for years. She believes she needs it to function. We’re told Lindsay was steadfast — either attach Adderall to the deal or she’d take her chances at trial. Sources say Lindsay’s lawyer, Mark Heller, assured her he could find a lockdown rehab facility that would accommodate her demand. A number of people in Lindsay’s life believe it was the Adderall that led to her downfall.
First off, if Adderall is what many think lead to Lindsay’s downfall, why would you let her keep taking it? Second, she believes she needs it to function? Really? Does anyone else see the gigantic red flag there? Well, the good news is that this magical Lockdown Rehab where patients can take all the adderall they want doesn’t actually exist, so at least there’s a silver lining in all of that.
