I know, I know, there’s absolutely no reason why I should be reporting about how Lindsay Lohan‘s mouth opened and a lie fell out, but I’m doing it for the back story here, so indulge me a little on this one. Anyway, after Lindsay plowed her rented Porsche into the back of a truck, she decided that it would probably be a good idea to blame everyone but herself, because everyone knows a Lohan is incapable of doing anything wrong ever. For some reason, the first thing blamed was the Porsche, saying that the brakes weren’t working and that’s why she crashed. Except whoops! Porsche went ahead and tested out the brakes, and found that they were working the whole time. TMZ reports:
As it happens, we’re told Porsche caught wind of Lindsay’s excuse and contacted the company that rented Lindsay the vehicle — asking if it could formally test the car. According to sources, the rental company obliged — and Porsche ran its tests, finding the brakes that had been installed on the car were A-OK, and showed no evidence of malfunction … which blows Lindsay’s bum brakes excuse out of the water. A rep for the Santa Monica PD had no comment. A rep for Porsche also had no comment — but did say they’re cooperating with authorities. Calls to Lindsay were not returned.
Can we just savor this moment for a bit here? Porsche, one of the most well-known car makers out there, heard some entitled little cautionary tale blaming their car for crashing, so they personally checked the brakes on the car just to show the world that she was lying. Oh my gosh, that is so many kinds of fantastic I can’t even stand this. You know you’re boned when one of the most high-end companies in the world is willing to personally prove you’re full of crap.
