Lifetime might be suing Lindsay Lohan?

Lindsay Lohan

Throughout the filming of Liz & Dick, it was hard not to roll our eyes every time one of the producers breathlessly proclaimed that Lindsay Lohan was a better Liz Taylor than even Liz Taylor herself and that her performance would make it rain Emmys and hail Golden Globes. Except then the movie actually came out and they realized it was a huge critical and commercial flop, so now there’s a rumor going around that Lifetime is planning on suing Lindsay for breach of contract, stemming from that time she plowed her car up a truck’s ass. Fox News reports …

“Naturally Lifetime did not want to make a big deal out of it until Liz & Dick premiered as that would have been really bad for PR,” explained our source. “But Lohan’s team is already preparing for the fallout from a civil case against her. Lifetime is probably waiting to see whether or not the District Attorney’s office files a case against Lindsay for lying. If they do, it will make their suit more credible.” We’re told Lifetime is currently talking to Lohan’s legal team in attempt to sort the issue out before it goes to court.

On one hand, I don’t want to pile on Lindsay too hard here because Jeebus knows she’s been pounded pretty hard in the press. That being said, it’s really hard to feel sorry for her when she was given an unwarranted second chance and a limo that would take her anywhere, and she instead chose to drive around like a moron. That would be like someone saying, “Hmmmmm, I could take this bag of money, or I could stab this electrical outlet with a fork and see if it coughs up diamonds. Meh, let’s take a chance. Come on, wall socket! Big bucks, no whammy, aaaaaaand sto-*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!*
