Over the past few months, two things happened: the first was that with Frank Ocean coming out of the closet, it helped prompt a much-needed shift in attitudes towards LGBT people in hip-hop. The second was that as Azealia Banks rose to power, she brought vogue and ball culture with her. Le1f (yes, that’s how you spell it) is sort of the conglomeration of those two happenings. He’s an openly gay rapper, he’s rocking that old school vogue sound, it’s all pretty amazing, just watch “Wut” below!
