Lady Gaga wore a … I think this is a condom?

As much as I harp on Lady Gaga (and let’s face it, I harp on her A LOT), I respect her deeply for teaching her little monsters about the importance of safe sex, as opposed to telling them that abstinence is a valid form of safe sex, just like never getting behind the wheel of a car makes you a safe driver. Anyway, she was on Good Morning America to discuss MAC’s Viva Glam Campaign to promote safe sex and she also wore a dress that’s supposed to look like a condom, but … meh, not so much.

“I like themes,” the 24-year-old New Yorker said. “Today, I wanted to be representative of what we women and people all over the world need to be concerned about … which is HIV.” The Grammy-winner, the centerpiece of MAC’s Viva Glam Campaign, said she want to raise $50 million “for AIDS, to save lives worldwide” after drawing in more than $34 million for the cause last year. Not that I’m not giving her an A for effort here, but … ummm, yeah, that … doesn’t really look like a condom. At all. I’ve seen condoms. Many condoms. I’ve seen them placed on many things, and as far as I can tell, none of them really look like … that. Not that it doesn’t look kinda cute or anything, but I’m not sure how effective an origami swan is at preventing the transmission of STDs.
