Kris Jenner’s talk show isn’t cancelled … yet

Yesterday morning I woke up all giddy with anticipation over the news that Kris Jenner‘s talk show had been cancelled. I swear, it was like an early Christmas present, all wrapped up with a pretty little bow underneath the tree just for me. And then when I went and opened it, I got this story instead from Digital Spy about how Kris’ show hasn’t actually been cancelled. No Virgina, there isn’t a Santa Claus.

The Kardashian matriarch recently finished up a six-week trial run of Kris on selected Fox stations, though some rumors suggested yesterday that the show would not be returning. However, a spokesperson for 20th Television told The Wrap that the speculation is premature. “It’s too early to make a decision,” the rep said. Meanwhile, the show’s official Twitter account posted the message: “Rumors flying are false but glad everyone is still buzzing about our 6 week summer run!!!!”

Does it still technically count as “buzzing” if people are only talking about your show because it was awful and they’re all happy that it could possibly be dead? Pretty sure that’s not how that works. Although you really have to give it up for Kris. Even when she has one foot in the grave and the rest of America is trying to push her in for good, she’s completely convinced that they love her. “Look at all these people coming with flowers! And … handfuls of dirt. That’s nice. And look, they’re all crying because they love me so – why does that one have a stake in her hand?”
