80’s sitcom Growing Pains star turned conservative Christian Kirk Cameron recently made a … controversial appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight. On the show, Cameron stated his opinions on gay marriage believing it is; “detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization”. He also went on to state that, “Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part”. Interesting side note, Adam actually had a first wife that was created equally to him, known as Lilith, she was thrown out of the garden of Eden after Adam felt her equality was too threatening. Then Eve was created from his rib and we have the wonderful institution of extreme Christianity that appeals to brilliant people like Kirk. History lesson over! Really, with states passing more marriage equality legislature than ever, it’s plain sad that such a public figure as Kirk still has the ability to speak publicly about hate and homophobia. Nuff’ said.
