Katy Perry hates Russell Brand after all!

Katy Perry - Part Of Me

Remember how I was totally convinced that for once we were gonna have a celebrity divorce where both parties didn’t try to tear each other to shreds for the sake of the public’s love and adoration thanks to Katy Perry and Russell Brand? Well scratch that, it looks like Katy is going to Alanis Morissette this bitch straight to the bank with her new song Part Of Me (performed for the first time at the Grammys last night), which is all about how she’s stronger after her breakup. Us Weekly reports:

Dressed in a skintight bodysuit, wearing a cropped, punk-blue wig, a ticked-off Perry, 27, prowled across the stage as she sang lyrics like “You chewed me up and spit me out/Like I was poison in your mouth/You took my light, you drained me down … You ripped me off, your love was cheap.”

Still, an edgy Perry even tweaked the song’s lyrics to make the song even more pointed at Brand. One line originally read “You can keep the dog from me, I never liked him anyway.” For Sunday’s show, Perry sang “Keep your diamond ring/In fact, you can keep everything … except for me.”

Come on, seriously Katy? You’re going to use your ex to further your music career? This is just beneath you, sweetie. You’re forgetting what your music has always been about: your giant, awesome breasts. What, you think people buy your albums for the subtle arrangements?
