Katy Perry was performing at the NRJ Music Awards in France the other night, and by performing, I mean … well, she was lip-syncing, let’s just get that out there. Normally, no one would have really noticed except that thanks to a pair of incredibly painful technical mishaps, someone from the show actually had to step out, stop her in the middle of the number, and ask her to do it all over again. To her credit, she actually did it live that time and she didn’t sound too bad, but … yeesh. When RuPaul tells her girls not to f*ck it up before they lip-sync for their lives, this is what she’s talking about. At least Katy didn’t lift one of her back-up dancers off the ground and carry her over her shoulder, so she’s still better than Mimi Imfurst.
