So apparently, Justin Bieber was offered a plea deal in his DUI case, which any sensible person would have taken because … well, have you seen his mugshot? Those eyes are as red and glazed as a red velvet doughnut. Except that would entail Justin being on probation and submitting to random drug tests, and no one in Justin’s camp wants to actually make him act like a responsible adult, so Justin’s turning down the plea deal and going to court to fight it. With a plea deal all but off the table, a trial is likely. Law enforcement sources acknowledge there are problems with the arresting officers … the fact that he may have lied when he said he smelled alcohol on Justin’s breath (he blew a .014). And another cop claimed Justin was drag racing (at 27 MPH). Nonetheless … we’re told prosecutors are not afraid of trying the case. And Justin’s famed lawyer, Roy Black, is ready for a courtroom battle. At stake — Justin could be tried for 3 offenses … DUI, resisting arrest, and driving on an expired license. Worst case scenario — 2 1/2 years in jail.
Really? Are they all so terrified of making their little cash cow follow the social contract that they won’t even take the easy way out with a plea deal? If you just behave, probation isn’t supposed to be a huge impediment. All you have to do is follow the rules for a couple years and your done! It’s not supposed to be this hard, and yet he can’t even do that because he’s been coddled so much that he feels entitled to do whatever he wants.
