Anyway, the big story today is that Jennette was absent from the 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards over the weekend, citing a fall out with Nickelodeon, and now more details have come to light. Our sources say the source of McCurdy’s dissatisfaction is rooted in her paycheck. We’re told the pint-sized star is pissed that Grande makes WAY MORE money than her and she’s been trying to renegotiate her deal … so far to no avail. The show is one of the most popular on the network, but production has been halted and so far a second season has yet to be ordered. We’re told McCurdy doesn’t have a problem with Grande personally … just with Nickelodeon. For their part, a rep for the network says, “We have nothing but the utmost respect for Jennette and her talent.”
Yes, once again it comes down to a matter of payment. Believe me, this happens a lot. I was working on a show once, and I had to voluntarily take a pay cut in order to appease a co-stars demands for a higher pay. Of course, I took it because I just wanted to get the damn thing on the air and shut his whiny douche-hole, only to have him turn around and sell me out the first chance he got, the lousy dickweed. Anyway, my point is money and fame can really bring out the worst in people.
