So after a video surfaced yesterday of Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi drunkenly dancing with a potted plant (aka, literally the closest I will ever get to shooting fish in a barrel of vodka using a rocket launcher), one of Snooki’s ex-boyfriends decided to mouth off about the ordeal. You remember the one, right? The one who proposed on the cover of some backwoods magazine no one cares about? Yeah, that bitch. Anyway, he’s convinced that MTV is turning Snooki into an alcoholic. Just like they also made her short, orange and slutty.
Emilio Masella — who dated Snooki for two short months last year — just blasted the network over Snooki’s plant-dance video, writing on his Twitter, “This is Disgusting. MTV’s Jersey Shore is turning Nicole into an Alcoholic. They are killin her liver. That’s not the nicole I knew! Poor girl.” Emilio doesn’t fault the guidette for her behavior — claiming, “The Vid on TMZ with Nicole Dancing with the plant, is a total embarrassment. I blame Production.” He adds, “They won’t learn till she hurts herself.” SOURCE
While I have no doubt in my mind that MTV is enabling these assholes because glamorizing the worst aspects of humanity is pretty much their entire business plan at this point, I don’t think MTV “made” Snooki an alcoholic anymore than they made their teen moms underage whores who’ve ruined their entire lives, so much as they found a train wreck and are actively lobbing cans of gasoline at it. They didn’t start the fire, they’re just fanning the flames is what I’m saying. The slutty, slutty flames.
