BREAKING NEWS: This just in from In Touch Weekly magazine … everybody’s favorite redneck (You’d better redneckognize!) Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson is retiring from (those awful) kiddie beauty pageants! The former Toddlers and Tiaras breakout star is taking herself out of the fierce and intense competition to focus on new ventures and of course her smash-hit reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (season two kicks off over on TLC tonight complete with Watch ‘N Sniff cards).
“We’re done,” her mother, “Mama” June Shannon, 33, exclusively tells the new issue of In Touch, on stands now. “We haven’t done a pageant for a while, because we’re so busy with our show [TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo] and school and life in general.” The spotlight-loving little diva certainly “misses the stage,” June admits, but says Alana, 7, finds ways to stay connected to the beauty world. “We still have all our pageant friends. We go along and cheer on our other pageant friends.” This “Mama” knows best and has a feeling the sky is the limit for her youngest: “Alana’s trying different things, but I don’t think she’s found that new niche yet that she wants to get into.” SOURCE
