I’m in a very weird place with Disney’s Maleficent (May 30). On one hand, I love the new trailer, and I really love the direction the movie seems to be going in with the title character played by Angelina Jolie. On the other hand, the trailer’s are starting to get a touch to … showy. I’ll still see the movie, no doubt about it, but it’s getting to the point where they’re showing too much from the movie and I’m worried that too much reveal is going to remove the surprise. Still, this looks phenomenal, and I love that Disney is doing what they can to play up strong female characters.
