The Gwyneth Paltrow cover of Adele‘s Turning Tables she did for Glee finally hit the interwebs over the weekend, and … well, like all of Gwyneth’s Glee covers thus far, I wouldn’t say it’s bad. As annoying and condescending as I think she is, Gwyneth is a good actress and she has a nice voice, but the cover can be summarized as “meh”. Vanilla. The entire thing sounds and feels like a good karaoke performance, but none of it really captures the soul or emotion that Adele puts into her own songs. I mean yes, Adele can’t even sneeze at this point without it being the most beautiful, soulful expulsion of air through the nasal cavities ever, but next time, try and stick to something in your comfort zone, GOOPy.
