‘Glee’ covers Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’

Rebecca Black - Friday on Glee

So Glee finally got around to covering Rebecca Black‘s Friday, and you know what? It’s not the worst thing in the world. Let’s face it: Glee is kind of a dumb show, and listening to them covering dumb songs just seems fitting. At the very least, they’ve stepped away from covering Adele and Lykke Li, which I think we can all agree is for the best since you really can’t top either of those artists. Ever. That being said, covering a song by a thirteen-year-old for a show targeted to thirteen-year-olds? That makes sense. Anyway, give it a listen. Mr. Shue doesn’t bother trying to rap on it, so at least there’s that, right?
