The other day while driving up Labrea (near Fountain Ave.) I noticed ABC still had billboards up for their failed show My Generation which only lasted a mere two episodes (even with all the promotion they put behind it) and I thought to myself – that shit needs to be taken down … Well, earlier this morning I noticed the billboard was gone and in its place was the upcoming AMC series The Walking Dead which kicks off on Halloween (Sunday October 31st @ 10pm) for six episodes (and possibly a second season) I love anything having to do with zombies plus the show was created by Oscar-nominated director/writer Frank Darabont (who directed two of my favorite films, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile) The series is based upon the comic book series of the same name from Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore – hopefully this show will live up to the hype – the network already has a huge hit with the critically acclaimed series Mad Men – can lightening strike twice? Watch the trailer below – I seriously can’t wait for it to begin! Popbytes over and out for now … xoxo!
