So apparently, DC is hard at work trying to incorporate Wonder Woman into that upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie, because let’s face it: Marvel has basically turned into a money printing factory, so there’s no reason DC can’t wet their beaks a little too, n’est-ce pas? Anyway, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the new Wonder Woman has been cast, and apparently the role’s been given to Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to ask Siri who Gal Gadot is … no Siri, not “Calcutta”. Gal Gadot. No Siri, I did not say “gold dildo”. GAL. FREAKING. GADOT.
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character,” said director Zack Snyder.
I checked her resume on IMDb, and while she doesn’t have the lengthiest track record, let’s be real about this: Chris Hemsworth wasn’t exactly a huge star when he won the role of Thor, but he kind of crushed it and now he’s doing pretty well for himself. I guess what I’m saying is this is Gal’s big chance to really make a name for herself, so more power to her.
