Spring 2012 is shaping up to be a dream for fans of eclectic, new music! Two upcoming discs I’ve been eagerly awaiting come from New Zealand’s Ladyhawke and New York City’s Scissor Sisters. Ladyhawke already dropped her first single, Black White & Blue last month (along with a music video inspired by the 70’s cult flick, The Eyes Of Laura Mars), and she just released this second track entitled Sunday Drive. Her sophomore disc Anxiety drops on May 29th on Modular / Casablanca. As for the Scissor Sisters, Magic Hour is the band’s fourth album, it’s co-produced by Calvin Harris and Boys Noize, and it comes out on May 13th – my birthday! They just released a lyric-only video for the very infectious first single, Only The Horses. With any luck, this incredibly talented band will finally break out in the states in a big way!
