You know, you’d figure that the marriage between the teenager who looks like a forty-something stripper and the fifty-one-year old would be a match made in heaven, but it turns out … not so much. Apparently, it’s gotten to the point where Courtney Stodden sometimes forgets that she’s married, although to be fair, if I was shacked up with Doug Hutchison, I’d like to forget that too. 52-year-old Doug Hutchison’s wife, who was only 16 when they tied the knot, admitted last night (on Couples Therapy) that “Sometimes I forget I’m married.” The reveal had the rest of the group shocked as they tried to understand how such a thing was possible. Stodden’s excuse: Her age! “Because I am my age, I’m still learning,” says Stodden (who is now 18 but was 17 at the time of filming). “Sometimes I get lost in all the attention.”
On one hand, Courtney is barely cognitive enough to be considered a mineral, so I can see how she’d get married and then forget about it. On the other, Courtney would tell the world her she’s three babies in a person suit if it would get attention, so this could go either way. Either way, if this proves anything, it’s that Courtney takes her marriage about as seriously as I do, so that’s good to know I guess.
