hey hey! tonight i’ve got sexy as all hell actor clive owen on the cover of the new issue of details magazine (sept ’07) he totally carries off moody hotness vibe perfectly (although the cover claims mr. owen isn’t as moody as he looks…) he really is one of the most handsome actors around today – plus he’s actually talented! he also has new movie coming out called shoot ’em up releasing september 7th! (i’ve also posted the trailer) kudos to mr. owen for finally quitting smoking (read what he has to say about that below) something i am sorta struggling with at the moment – it’s such a dirty terrible habit but gosh i love to smoke – but before everybody jumps all over me – i know i have to quit soon! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!
on his down to earth wife, sarah jane “i have to drag sarah-jane to a premiere. her ultimate present, which i bought her a few years ago, was a volkswagen caravan van. she’s into arts and crafts, and hanging with the kids, and going camping. she’s very unimpressed by what i do.”
on his equally un-impressed daughters “the girls have very high status in my house. i’m the git in the family. every time i go away, [daughter] hannah gives me what i call her roger moore face.”
on quitting smoking “i talked about it all through [my wife’s] pregnancy, but i didn’t do anything about it. i had smoked since i was f–king 14. i always used to say to myself, i’m going to die of lung cancer. that’s the choice i’m making. and then when sarah-jane was pregnant, i couldn’t think about anything else. i just had this image in my head of breathing smoke in a baby’s face. you just think about it going into their little lungs. and when hannah was born, i stopped.”
a gritty, fast-paced action thriller, shoot ’em up kicks into high gear with a memorable opening scene and never relents. clive owen stars as mr. smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally (monica belluci) to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal (paul giamatti) who hunts them throughout the bowels of the city.
